We manage our farming business using the principles of integrated farm management, this approach means we consider the wider impact of every decision we make.
We understand there is an intrinsic link between the natural and farmed environment and for us to succeed, economically, environmentally, and socially, we need both to thrive.
A large part of this involves us collaborating and forming partnerships with other organisations, such as LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming), Red Tractor, Lion Code, Waitrose Farming Partnership and the Soil Association to develop and implement practices which can help us achieve high quality results in all areas of our business.
Further to this as a LEAF demonstration farm we can support knowledge exchange within the farming community.
Our cropping rotations include Wheat, Barley, Oilseed Rape, Beans, Oats, Sugar Beet, Vining Peas and Linseed and at the heart of our crop production is our soils, and most importantly, their health.
We are committed to raising our livestock to the highest possible standards and the welfare of our cattle, sheep and poultry are at the forefront of what we do.
Our livestock play a vital role in helping us to manage our farms more sustainably and we regularly review ways in which we can deepen the integration between our enterprises.
Our purpose is to continue to act as honourable long-term custodians, to protect the heritage created over past centuries and with integrity enhance the legacy for future generations.
